Words of Gratitude
Ten years ago I was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. After having one operation to try to remove the tumor, I was sent to Duke Children's. There, they welcomed my family and I with open arms, and I have been cancer free for ten years. When all of this occurred, I was just four years old; sometimes it seems like I grew up at Duke Children's because I was so young. Duke saved my life, and I am so grateful to everyone there.![]()
My child has a rare condition but you all were familiar with it and knew exactly what steps needed to be taken. Everything was coordinated and communicated to us. This put us so at ease. We love Duke!![]()
Everyone on the team is so caring and interested in the progress our son is making. We look forward to coming every year!![]()
Duke Children's Health Center is AMAZING! We came to Duke four years ago, and it has been our second home. My daughter, Haley, receives infusions on the fourth floor (VDH) once a week, the entire day, for Pompe Disease. Everything about the Health Center, from the atmosphere to the entire staff, is wonderful.
