The 26th annual Duke Children's Benefit Horse Show is scheduled for November 3-8, 2009. This exhibition is consistently the largest hunter-jumper horse show in the Southeast featuring six days of competition by horses and their riders from the United States and Canada.
In addition to the competition, this year's show will offer all ages a behind-the-scenes look at how horses are cared for, trained and shown. Youngsters can observe the horses in their stalls in five tents and five permanent barns on the complex grounds. The show also features equestrian collectibles and unique gifts from around the country as well as a silent auction that is open for bidding Tuesday through Saturday night.
In addition, Family Fun Night offers entertainment for all featuring a stick horse race for the children, and Saturday's Grand Prix event will be full of excitement. Make your plans early to attend the 2009 Horse Show!
