Coins for Kids
Coins for Kids is part of the annual MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center. These unrestricted funds help where the need is the greatest by supporting research, clinical care, advocacy and family support programs. At Duke Children’s we treat nearly 200,000 patients each year and produce research findings that touch millions of lives worldwide.
Coins for Kids is an important grassroots fund-raising program. Volunteers are asked to collect change, dollar bills and checks from family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and other community contacts. Anyone can participate in Coins for Kids. Whether you represent a church or civic organization, a classroom of students, neighborhood group or a single family, we want you to join in on the fun.
It's easy! All you need to do is gather donations of any type or amount for Duke Children’s, such as loose change, piggy banks, checks and dollar bills. Any amount you collect will help make a difference for the children treated at Duke Children's. Bring your donations to the Radiothon at Duke Children's on February 14-15, 2012. There is no need to sign-up, no forms to fill out, nothing. It's that simple!
Piggy Bank Day
Join us for Piggy Bank Day on Wednesday, February 15 from 6:00am to 5:00pm. This is a special day during Radiothon where we invite children to empty their piggy banks into our coin machine.
