Every year, MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center offers listeners a unique opportunity for a “behind the scenes” experience. During the Radiothon, a donation of $2,500 provides two people with the opportunity to attend the Coach K Closed Practice Session with Coach Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Men's Basketball team. A supplemental $250 donation includes attendance for one additional guest. 

A group of about 60 donors and patient families attend this "behind-the-scenes" experience each year. During the practice, guests enjoy a tour of the Hall of Honor, Hall of Fame, and the Duke Men’s locker room, and they also watch the team practice from the famed bleachers of Cameron Indoor Stadium.  After the team practice, guests return to the Hall of Honor for dinner and a Q&A session with Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Attendees will also receive a gift bag that includes items commemorating the event. 

Many loyal donors call year after year to attend this session, and some donate their practice session back to the hospital for patients to attend in their place. If you are interested in donating your attendance for the Coach K Closed Practice Session back to the hospital, please let us know at the time of your donation.
