Go Dancin' for Duke Children's Hospital

kids.jpgCome out and dance your cares away on Saturday, August 9, at "Dancing for the Duke Kids," a benefit concert to help the Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center.

The South Wing Band will perform from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Tickets are $10, and proceeds will benefit the Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center.

The Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center helps thousands of children each year with wide range of medical conditions, from common childhood illnesses to life-threatening diseases. Contributions help them to continue providing high-quality healthcare services to children in the Research Triangle area and beyond.

Randy Kolls, general manager of the Duke University Golf Club, came up with the idea of holding the event at the Inn.

"We wanted to showcase the talents of one of our own--Ed Ibarguen--and to have a bit of fun this summer, all the while benefiting the kids at the Duke Children's Hospital in some small way," Kolls said.

Ibarguen, general manager and PGA director of golf at the Duke University Golf Club, plays guitar in the South Wing Band, a long-time local favorite group in the Triangle area.
